[solved] Unable to detect HP All-in-one scanner

I have an HP Deskjet f2240 All-in-one. Printing works fine, however I'm unable to use the scanner. Under Ubuntu, I can scan using scanimage or xsane. Under Arch, scanimage -L says "No scanners were identified." Finally, if I run "sane-find-scanner" it outputs "found USB scanner (vendor=0x03f0, product=0x2404) at libusb:004:005."

Anyone have any ideas?

I had same problem. Once I install xsane(and couple of other utils which I don't remember ofhand right now), the hp-toolbox started showing scan. Try doing it. xsane is not default in Arch.

Do you have "hpaio" in your /etc/sane.d/dll.conf file?

Thanks! I tried adding 'hpaio' to /etc/sane.d/dll.conf to and now scanimage works great.
