Splash issues.

hey all,

i installed splash, and followed the arch wiki, and was very happy to see all had gone well i had a nice graphical loading screen!
but when i loaded my DE, i tryed to reboot and shutdown and all it did was reboot my desktop and not a full reboot, it did the same for the shutdown button.
But rebooting and shutting down from the terminal worked fine.
I uninstalled spash and the buttons within Gnome functioned again. So splash was causing the issue.

I would really like to use splash or any other apps if anyone can advise without comprimising system stability.
Or better still give me some direction on how i can resolve this bug/issue with splash and the gnome shutdown & restart buttons.

Loving arch all in all smile.

Any help would be highly appreciated.

Thanks in Advance.
