[Solved] can't access tty; job control turned off

Hey all,
I'm trying to install Arch on my Dell Latitude D510 lappy - I've tried with a USB flash drive (using unetbootin from windows to make it) and with an a USB external DVD drive. The media I downloaded was archlinux-2010.05-core-i686.iso.

I get the GRUB menu, choose the default, goes through some black screen/white text and I eventually get this:
ERROR: boot device didn't show up after 30 seconds...
Falling Back to interactive prompt
You can try to fix the problem manually, log out when you are finished.
/bin/sh can't access tty; job control turned off

I'll try and take the lappy HDD out. The HDD is from a P3 era lappy, very loud and slow, so I'm going to install to a fast USB drive anyway.

Some help would be nice smile

Edit:
I gave it some thought and realised that wasn't the big problem, and did some different searching and found this:

Working through it now smile
