[solved] vifm start filetype associations in background

Despite the brilliance of vifm I was unsatisfied by its behaviour when using the FILETYPE associations since they start the program in foreground rendering vifm unusable until the particular application quits (at least for me). If other people are disliking this I would create an AUR package fixing the few lines of code to start the associated programs in the background.

Of course vifm has to be kept running since it's the parent caller.

Or am I missing a more obvious solution to this?

Cheers.

He who says A doesn't have to say B. He can also recognize that A was false.

Adding an ampersand at the end of the line works for me.

Well, after trying this again without stupidity it works for me as well.
For some retarded reason I missed the filename macro the last time I tried to background the application in .vifm/vifmrc.

Thank you for making me try again :-)
