Install packages without connection.

Hey guys, I'm new on Arch.

I've installed Arch and it is all right.
Now I have a new problem.

I don't have a internet connection on my pc, but i have a friend that can download some files to me smile.

Is there any way that I can make a list of files to download (like in synaptic on ubuntu) and download them in another computer, then send them back to mine to install?

Thanks to all.

Re: Install packages without connection.

Yes its possible, but seems quite cumbersome to me because of the rolling release philosophy.

Perhaps a "stable" distro with releases on regular intervals would be more practical?

Re: Install packages without connection.

toffyrn had a point. A friend of mine didn't updated the system for a long time and it broke hard after an update. He had to reinstall pacman.

Sorry for my English. Feel free to point out my errors.
