this card is automatically detected by UDev (snd-ctxfi) and i have unmuted channels using alsamixer and turned up the volume on all the channels. however, sound from the centre and rear speakers is rather low when doing speaker-test - is this normal for analog 5.1 output?
i am using xbmc but kinda get a muffled surround when playing AC3 5.1 mkv - i am close to switching to onboard sound with digital output. what settings does xbmc use in the background? is it a configuration issue? any tips appreciated, thanks.
