AR9285 disconnecting

Hello!

I have a Asus Eee PC 1005pe and have installing arch on it. I'm noob so I need little help.

First of all my wireless network don't work perfectly... It's disconnecting sometimes.

I have a Atheros AR9285 wireless card so the driver is already in the kernel? Or have i wrong?

I have not load any modules in the rc.conf, i need that?

Re: AR9285 disconnecting

This is because Atheros wireless card isn't very good product IMHO. Unfortunatelly, the stability issues is normal. The wiki says that "you could try using the compat-wireless package" (http://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/Wir … etup#ath9k). You can give a try, good luck (you need it).

I have the same card, and I am having zero problems like you mention in either ubuntu or arch. Did not setup anything, though I do have networkmanager. In older kernels it was disconnecting, but I think it's fixed since 2.6.31 or something, so should be fine if you use the current.
