K3b - can't create audio CD from mp3

Hi,
Just today I run into this problem. When I launch K3b, window with this text pops up:

MP3 Audio Decoder plugin not found.
K3b could not load or find the MP3 decoder plugin. This means that you will not be able to create Audio CDs from MP3 files. Many Linux distributions do not include MP3 support for legal reasons.
Solution: To enable MP3 support, please install the MAD MP3 decoding library as well as the K3b MAD MP3 decoder plugin (the latter may already be installed but not functional due to the missing libmad). Some distributions allow installation of MP3 support via an online update tool.

If I ignore the warning, later on I will get this:

Unable to handle the following files due to an unsupported format:
You may manually convert these audio files to wave using another application supporting the audio format and then add the wave files to the K3b project.

It worked few weeks ago (last time I needed this), and I dont think I changed anything that could cause this error.

I have installed libmad ( 0.15.1b-4), this is probably the critical library for needed conversion AFAIK

Any idea?

Thanks
