[solved] a question concerning btrfs

Hi,

I'd like to install BTRFS but I'm not sure about one thing:

As the development on btrfs progresses and a stable version will get released, will i have to reformat my current unstable BTRFS to adopt the then stable BTRFS?

Regards,
demian

Re: [solved] a question concerning btrfs

btrfs' on-disk format shouldn't change in an incompatible way, so you shouldn't have to reformat.

Re: [solved] a question concerning btrfs

Thanks.
How is the status with encryption? Can i use LUKS or will btrfs support it's own encryption? I believe I've read something like that.

Re: [solved] a question concerning btrfs

I haven't heard anything about btrfs having its own encryption and I find it somewhat unlikely. LUKS should work.
