[solved] Duration of ATA Enhanced Secure Erase?

Hey,

I'm doing an "enhanced secure erase" on my 80 GB intel x25-m. It said it'll take 30 - 180 minutes but it's been over 4 hours so I'm a little concerned.

I can't find any info about this on the net. Do you know how long this should take for an 80GB SSD? Note that it's not just secure erase but "enhanced" secure erase, whatever that means.

// turns out, the command wasn't doing anything. I did a normal security erase from command-line and it took 40 seconds. I feel so cheated .
