Missing nls modules during installation

I am trying to install archlinux 0.7 on a loopback device, pointing to a file on a vfat partition.

Unfortunately, I can not access vfat partitions from within installation, because there arent't any nls modules as add-ons included. One can do modprobe fat and vfat, but mount -t vfat gives a 'codepage 437 not found' error. (codepage 437 is default for vfat)

It would really be nice to see fs/nls modules included... i even tried to grab nls_cp437 from kernel-xxx.tar.bz2 package, but that didn't work either - installer uses different kernel version, obviously.

Re: Missing nls modules during installation

Did you load the modulepack during installation? When you boot the Arch CD, the last (or first, depends on how you look at it wink) message you see is the command to load the extra modules. Something like

loaddisk /dev/floppy/0

Maybe the modules are available once the disk is loaded? I can't test it, I don't have an Arch CD lying around.
