can't get widescreen monitor to work right.

I can't get my widescreen monitor too work right.
It should be at 1360x768 res but it is at 1024x768.
I'm using a mac mini.
My monitor is manufactured by LG, it is a flatron. xrandr -q gives

Screen 0: minimum 640 x 480, current 1024 x 768, maximum 1024 x 768
default connected 1024x768+0+0 0mm x 0mm
   1024x768        0.0* 
   800x600         0.0  
   640x480         0.0

I'm sorry if this is a noobie issue, I wouldn't know. I hope someone will please help me. thank you.

Is your video driver right for your system? Which driver are you using right now?
