(SOLVED) Firefox/Namoroka slow startup

I just installed firefox on a brand new Archlinux installation. I am running the 64 bit edition and the pc is a lightning fast core i7 with 12 gb of ram, but it takes 10 (TEN!!) seconds before Firefox/Namoroka launches if there's not already another Firefox-session running.

What am I doing wrong here? Is there some way I can use an older version that may have a faster startup or what can I do?

i guess you don't have /etc/hosts configured well? did you added your hostname there? this is just my feeling

Give what you have. To someone, it may be better than you dare to think.
