What kind of internet are you using? Wireless or wired?
If it is wired what are the settings you need to input.
If it is wireless what is your wireless card? (lspci should show you)

As far as i know, hp mini series all have the same wireless chipset (Broadcom 4312, like mine) so you basically have to follow this guide on the wiki to configure it properly: http://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/Broadcom_BCM4312
Anyway, for a more extended and precise setup, you could do as follow
1 open a terminal and type lspci and check for your card model
2 go to http://wireless.kernel.org/en/users/Dri … CI_devices and match your model there, where you'll also find the best driver to use
3 go here http://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/Wireless_Setup and follow the setup based on the driver your card requires
mind that if you have a broadcom, b43 is the best driver to choose, but wl has a faster initial setup (but it's quite unstable, so maybe you could setup wl temporarily just to do some downloading on the pc, then switch to b43)

The thing is I'm not in a desktop enviromnet so I can't go to a website and download a specific driveer, thanks for the guide, but is there some guide on how to get the driver another way?

from the first website you don't get the driver, you just check what's the best driver for your chard
anyway just try with http://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/Wireless_Setup#b43 directly. it requires downloading, but it's everything explained from command line. just follow the steps there (download the file, unzip, compile and go... if you cannot download directly into your hp mini, save it from another computer and move it with an usb stick)
