space allocation

I plan to divide up /, /home, /usr. /var, /tmp etc and add storage partitions for files. I am curious about size allocations. Does this seem good, or am I being too generous in one or more areas? I am unsure about /usr.

100mb /boot
8gb /
8gb /home
8gb /usr
4gb /var
1gb /tmp
2gb swap

remaining gb /storage
