thanks - i hope you get home before sunday ;-)
anyway: i tested some of my experiments with fox and everything works fine ... but i only tested elementar things i use from the fox toolkit, so this says nothing ... it needs better testing than only me, that0s why it is in [testing]

fox 1.4.2 was out and i started it compiling but then realized that:
fox 1.4.3 is out ... and this one is compiling atm
hope that 1.4.4. is not out in the next 3 hours, as this would be really crazy!

I sometimes use Xfe file manager, which uses fox 1.2 and *won't* compile with the 1.4. So, if that isn't too much to ask, please leave both versions of fox available, at least for some time.

Ognjen
what 1.4. do you tried ... there are in the meanwhile 1.4.0 1.4.1 1.4.2 1.4.3 out
i'll try to keep the old fox pkg in the repos as a file ... but hopefully not for long

you mean xfm from here:
http://www.musikwissenschaft.uni-mainz.de/~ag/xfm/
?
it is a dead project - last release in 2001
if we are able to find patches to make it work, it's ok, but if not ...

yes, xfe (not xfm) does not work with new libFOX. I could enjoy this program just for one day...
Is it possible to have two versions of libFOX installed?
I think I'm going to mess a system a little bit :S

oh... I don't have the provious version of fox...
going to see what they say in xfe home page

the old version i will not remove from the servers, untill there is a solution - so all mirrors should have it hosting
e.g. here:
ftp://ftp.belnet.be/packages/archlinux/ … pkg.tar.gz
website of xfe:

This mirror keeps old versions of packages:
http://ftp.nluug.nl/ftp/pub/os/Linux/distr/archlinux/
It currently has:
fox-1.0.51-1.pkg.tar.gz 17-Mar-2004 00:14 2.8M
fox-1.0.51-2.pkg.tar.gz 29-Apr-2004 07:35 2.8M
fox-1.2.1-1.pkg.tar.gz 19-May-2004 20:44 4.4M
fox-1.2.4-1.pkg.tar.gz 28-Jun-2004 20:34 4.4M
fox-1.2.7-1.pkg.tar.gz 17-Jul-2004 16:36 4.4M
fox-1.2.9-1.pkg.tar.gz 13-Aug-2004 17:05 4.4M
fox-1.2.11-1.pkg.tar.gz 26-Oct-2004 23:21 4.4M
That is lots of choice!

Can fxdesktopsetup be installed with the arch package of FOX?
I know FOX doesn't install this, but it would be nice if the package could install it. Its a little program in the tests directory to setup fonts and colors of FOX applications

I have a package for FXRuby here, which currently supports only FOX 1.2.X and lower. The new FOX packages broke my system. I know it's kinda late notice now, but I thought I'd throw this out there for posterity.
