It gives me the general impression of being very unprofessional. Not in the sense that a professional company owns it, of course, but the website in general gives the impression that Frugalware lacks polish and attention to detail.

The philosophy is rather interesting, but I'm rather enamored by Arch (though Slackware is a close second), so I'll stick where I'm at.

I kinda agree. It's nice that pacman is being employed for for distros, however, but, it obviously still has some way to go. Mind you, so did Arch v0.1...

I do like Todo list page on the site. It's nice for users to see what the devs are going to be upto. I'd like to see something similar with Arch too - but maybe that's just extra effort.

I used Slackware for awhile but found Arch to have a much better design. I really can't tell much difference in the running systems (between Arch and Slack) but the administration of Arch is much easier and pacman provides a really great way to keep the system clean. I also enjoy hanging around these forums all day.

That is a good idea... would be even more useful than the (now-outdated-anyway) devland document.

Only problem is, there aren't any terribly active documentors right now (I think its a boring job ). Maybe you should apply, you've had several clever ideas about documentation organization and might not find it boring at all.

this is no surprise really,
how many package management system is there on the market?

RPM, ABS and APT , I don't know anything about other source based systems,

just see how many 'distros' that are based on Debian,
if/when libpacman is done there will probably be more 'noob' distros based on arch,

Now, seriously, I fail to see what it has, besides a 'dvd edition' and a new name that makes it different than Arch. I think the Frugalware philosophy seems a bit like the Arch philosophy, but, then again, interpretations of the Arch philosophy change almost as much as 'current', so I may decide I'm wrong in an hour.

Well, there is the dev section of the newsletters. That was sort of a "what are the devs working on now?" document. I'm pretty sure that's where Dusty got the name for the devland document.

They already have a gui for pacman, I slapped together a PKGBUILD for it, it appears to work just fine on arch:
