I install wicd . I also made sure dbus, hal, dbus-python, ethtool, and pygtk were install. I still seem to get this error message
Could not connect to wicd's D-Bus interface. Check the wicd log for error messages.
Inside the rc.conf file I have:
INTERFACES=(!eth0 !wlan0)
DAEMONS=(syslog-ng dbus hal !@network netfs crond alsa slim !@dhcpcd)

Add wicd to your list of daemons and remove those exclamation marks, they are not helping you.

Thank you alot I must have read the wiki wrong or somthing cause I thought I need to but those ! in from of all network operations. Well I removed them and places wicd in the deamon and reboot and everything is up and running....:D
