Audacity: Don't follow cursor?

I do a lot of heavy editing where I don't want Audacity to follow the cursor (when I try to scroll away from the position that the cursor is positioned, it restricts the movement of the scroll bar to it).  Is there a way to disable this?

Edit -> Preferences -> Tracks -> Update display while playing (untick)

@dreasgrech,

Thanks for the helpful reply. But please note that this thread is 6 years old and the setting might or might not have been present at that time. In any case, I would suggest that you add this information to the Arch Wiki.
