Suspended Acer wakes up by itself

Hi all,

I've got an old Acer Travelmate 2310. One of the problems it's got is this habit of waking up by itself after a suspend. I'm just using the regular pm and acpi packages as per the wiki, no laptop mode tools (which I do not plan to use at the moment).

The only information I can give:
-it's definitely not a wake-on-lan thing, a slight mouse or touchpad movement, or a lid switch problem
-it happens only when I let it run a bit on battery
-it happens only when the power supply isn't connected (as in, if it's suspended and I remove the P/S, it takes a second, then wakes up)
-it doesn't happen on a full charge

I think the laptop is trying to wake up just to begin a real shutdown or hibernation, maybe because it senses that it can no longer hold the suspend state with the power it has left. The only problem is I can't find the information to deal with it

Here is my related dmesg:

Re: Suspended Acer wakes up by itself

bump

Sorry about the above message, I've just read the forum etiquette page. I'd better get used to this forum thing.

Anyway, problem still not resolved. I'll try to figure it out on my own with a few more google searches.
