Pacman Warning

Apologies in advance if this is a completely stupid question, but a google/forum search didn't turn anything up...

Just updated my version of pacman to 3.4.0 and got a warning message after it successfully installed that looks like this:

warning: /etc/pacman.conf installed as /etc/pacman.conf.pacnew

Now I'm wondering if I need to do anything about that.
In particular, I'm wondering if I should backup my current /etc/pacman.conf and rename /etc/pacman.conf.pacnew to /etc/pacman.conf
