Hey all,
This isn't a huge issue, as everything is working fine (afaik), but after upgrading to Xorg1.8, i started getting the following warning when starting X:
[ 797.336] (WW) The directory "/usr/share/fonts/OTF/" does not exist. If anyone has come up with a way to silence this warning, I'd love to hear it. I have an irrational hatred for warnings... even when they don't do anything.
BTW, I tried simply creating the directory /usr/share/fonts/OTF, and X then complained that the directory was not valid.

I installed then uninstalled this AUR package:
http://aur.archlinux.org/packages.php?ID=23740
Now I have the /usr/share/fonts/OTF/ directory with two files inside fonts.dir and fonts.scale, and no more warning in the Xorg log.

I created the directory then ran mkfontdir from the terminal inside the directory and the error went away.
Desktop: Compiz Stand Alone w/ Cairo Dock.
Laptop: Pekwm w/ Tint2
Jukebox: MPD w/ cli
