**SOLVED**KDE 3.4 Beta 2 No kmenu apps, lost all mimetypes

I've just upgraded to the new beta of kde 3.4 and have lost all kmenu apps, all mimetypes and cannot enter kcontrol...it is the same if i add a new user. Could this be a problem with the build?

I'm somewhat confused by this, but it seems that they have all suddenly re-appeared, just as i was copying the old ~/.kde ready to fully remove kde and re-install it. I'll have to have a think about what has just happened and try to understand what i did.

I had the same problem. Kmenu empty, kcontrol empty, systray and taskbar not working. Also with new user.

I removed KDE and installed again, then it worked. Weird, but now all is fine.
