Hi,
my simple question is: can I run GTK/QT libraries in background after I start my lightweight GUI (Fluxbox right now) so I don't have to wait half a minute to run FF etc.?

I'm not sure whether you're asking the right question. Wouldn't automatically starting firefox, when fluxbox starts, solve the issue?

..unless he is implying a performance issue, wherein autostarting FF may only exacerbate the issue.
More info please, OP.

I think he is looking for something similar to this:
I don't think it would help with Firefox though since its not technically GTK-based anyways.

sounds like your hardware is abit outdated. in this case you should consider a more lightweight piece of software. like midori for instance.
or try swiftfox. a linux-optimized firefox but i never got that much performance out of swiftfox in comparison to firefox.

SwiftFox is merely Firefox compiled for specific CPUs and with PGO (maybe even not that last) -- Iceweasel is similar.
I would recommend (full disclosure, I am the maintainer) 'firefox-pgo' from the AUR for the same experience.
What might help the OP more is to store his .mozilla folder in a RAM disk, but that will still need to be loaded from the hard drive on boot (automatically, but will take time just as using vanilla Firefox).
Google for more info on that.
