dead mouse

hey all, suspend to ram  works and resumes fine but for one thing... the mouse is frozen on resume and nothing i've tried so far works. unloading the psmouse module prior to suspend and then loaded on resume still has the same outcome... a dead mouse!
can anybody point me in a direction that may be helpful. i'm a bit unfamiliar with arch so a nudge in the right direction would be appreciated.
happy sunday :-)

Re: dead mouse

You're not alone. The problem is in X, probably, because moving mouse causes writes to /dev/input/mouse<n>, that can be checked with $ od /dev/input/mouse<n>

I've catched the same issue recently and I had to terminate X session to make my mouse working again.

Re: dead mouse

thx much for the lead eDio. that's at least a start.
your english is pretty good. if you "catched" something you have it. so "catched" is more or less correct but 'have' would have been more accurate and general.
thx for taking the time :-)
