ThinkPad T420 with grub/grub2 problem

Hi,

I'm using a ThinkPad T420 and have archlinux installed. It runs perfectly but recently I want to upgrade to grub2.

I have grub installed and using legacy boot , I have a /boot partition (ext2) , / partition (jfs) ...

Now I want to know what should I do if I want to upgrade to grub2 and use UEFI boot...any one could help me ?

ps. I dont want to reinstall my system...if uefi boot failed, can i change back to legacy boot and come back to my system?or how can i rescue my system..?

Thanks in advance.

Nope. In Archboot menu, select install bootloader menu, mount the required partitions and allow the setup script to setup the bootloader.

However I found few issues with Archboot setup script for which I have made a patch at https://gist.github.com/1080899 .

Formerly "skodabenz".

When I read the first post in this thread, I immediately thought, "Looks like a problem for skodabenz," and I wondered why you hadn't posted.

Now I see that you're on the case, but with a new name. :]
