No more multitouch after xf86-input-synaptics update

Hi everyone,

Yesterday I updated the package 'xf86-input-synaptics' and after a reboot this morning, the multitouch feature on my trackpad isn't working anymore. Only the one-finger edge scrolling is working fine (instead of two-finder scrolling).

Is someone experiencing the same issue?

By the way I'm using Gnome Shell, on a Asus M50VM.

Re: No more multitouch after xf86-input-synaptics update

I have the same problem on a Thinkpad T500 (2082-8WG).
When setting the scroll option in Gnome3 to "scroll on the edge" [0], exactly that works. "Scroll with two fingers" as well as right-clicking with two-finger-tap.doesn't.
Downgrading xf86-input-synaptics alone doesn't workaround the problem. I don't want to mess with more xorg packages now without really understanding the problem. If I should try something, please tell me... smile
