Hi everyone !
I have an issue , when in fullscreen everything is fine but when i press the f button to get the windowed mode i get black screen .
My options are
vo = vaapi:gl
ao = alsa
cache = 8192
and some subtitle settings
I have vsync enabled in amdcccle .
Does anyone know what might be the issue ?
THanks in advance

my first instinct would be to fall back to the xv video output to determine if the video acceleration API is causing this.
since you're using the vaapi output, I take it you have these installed?
- xvba-video
- mplayer-vaapi
This is assuming that you are using the ATI binary driver

I have nearly the same problem, but instead of a black screen, the frame during which I tapped "f" hangs on the foreground, and I can't reach any windows below (with an alt+tab for example).
For the moment being the only way to go back to the desktop is to kill mplayer, which is not very practical.
I'm using the same options than shak (without cache though).
I have the mentionned packages installed, but indeed if I use "-vo vaapi" instead of "-vo vaapi:gl", it can switch to window mode all right, but I have read everywhere that OpenGL is much more useful for a AMD user like me.
Any idea ? Is there anything I can do ?
Thank you for your help.
