gnome-panel x2 when gnome is starting (solved)

To set gaim to auto logon when I start gnome, I just did a logout selecting save current setup when gaim was running.

The problem is, for some reason gnome try to start gnome-panel twice and pops up with an error message about one of the panels will exit.

I have tried to select save current setup after making sure that only one panel is running, but it still try to start it x2 when I start gnome.

I guess there is a file I can manually edit, but where?

Thanks.
