Hi,
I have a MSI U230 laptop with a Ralink RT3090 wireless card w/bluetooth.
About few weeks I noticed the very slow speeed of my internet connection using WPA or WPA2 networks.
With a 6MB connection and WEP or ethernet networks I download about 650~700kb/s, with WPA or WPA2 my speed rate is around 40kb/s, sometimes I get around 100kb/s.
I'm using the RT2800pci module acording the arch wiki.
I tried to connect via WICD and wpa_supplicant/wpa_passpharse with no improvments ![]()

Shooting in the dark:
- Has been configured with 'iwpriv' as suggested in the wiki?
- Newer driver available? (Can't think how to easily check...)
- Power-saving turned off (via 'iwconfig')?
- Compare signal quality/txpower (via 'iwconfig') between WEP and WPA
