lvm2 question

First off; I'm not sure which forum section lvm2-questions belong to, so please move this post if I'm wrong.

I've just gone through and repartitioned my entire system, this time with an lvm2-partition. It feels kinda sweet, although I haven't really experienced the advantages yet.

Anyway, I have one question about it. My last primary partition is lvm2 and I've created 4 logical partitions therein, /home /usr /opt /var. Now, I want to create one last partition using the remaining space. How am I supposed to do this? I know how to create a partition and then extend it (vgextend), but that only allows me to extend it a certain amount of (giga)bytes, or extend it so that it becomes a certain size. How do I extend it all the way? For that matter, is there any command to give me a nice overview over the sizes of the partitions I have and the remaining free space?

Thanks a bunch in advance.
