xvidcap and sound

I have installed oss which seems to be working fine when using "osstest".

However, I cannot get xvidcap to record any sound. When I go to Preferences, multi-frame tab, there are no audio options. Also, reading the man page, trying to start xvidcap with --audio yes does not work, it will give me an error as if this option hadn't been compiled in.

Any ideas on how to get xvidcap with audio to work?

Never worked for me either.... no big surprise since I believe the source hasn't been updated in over 5 years.
