Hi,
I'm having problems trying to play movies in vlc.
Each time I try to play one, the sound has a very strange noise.
This happens when I have my sound configured in pulseaudio with 5.1 output.
But if I play the same movie with smplayer, it works just fine.
Do you have any idea what could be causing this issue?
I have my system upgraded and I tried deleting all vlc configuration files and reinstalling it but with no luck.
Thanks in advance!

Hi,
I had the same problem with VLC 1.1.12-1. If you downgrade to VLC 1.1.11-5 everything should be fine again.
I've reported the bug here: https://bugs.archlinux.org/task/26341?p … string=vlc

Great but I think I'll stick with smplayer for now.
Another thing that happened to me is that sound with pulseaudio have a little delay. It's like video is being played faster than the sound.
Did that happen to you also?
