You are not logged in.
firstly you should reinstall nvidia and nvidia-utils, reinstall mesa, delete nvidia-installer-disable-nouveau.conf.
no idea what other damage did the installer but pretty sure it messed up some symlinks about vdpau.
Give what you have. To someone, it may be better than you dare to think.

I suspect you would need to uninstall the blob first.
Instructions <(stfw).
Edit: wonder got to it first :-)

I did all that and rebooted, but no luck.

delete the second one. preserve /lib/modules/3.0-ARCH/kernel/drivers/video/nvidia.ko.gz and then run depmod -a

I had the same problem. Just need to get the kernel to reload the modules. I found this on another thread (post #2) and it worked for me: mkinitcpio -p linux
Also stated that reinstalling the kernel with sudo does not reload the modules but if you go to su mode then reinstall them it will. (post #20 and #21)

Tried that and rebooted, but it still didn't work

Okay, I've switches to nouveau and installed the necessary xf86-input pkgs but my keyboard and external mouse+keyboard don't work
