[SOLVED] xfce4 keyboard shortcuts not working after a full update

I ran pacman -Syu this morning and my xfce4 keyboard shortcuts are no longer working. I literally launch everything with keyboard shortcuts, so this is kind of a pain. Here's the relevant section of my pacman.log.

The only other system changes I made afterwards were:

1) removing LILO (I am not actually bootloading with it anymore) and gnome-online-accounts
2) changing the following daemons to start in background: crond, networkmanager, sshd, mysqld, lighttpd2

Anyone else experiencing this?

Yes, i have the same problem. For me the only shortcuts that works are XF86 (media keys) shortcuts for which i have assigned values in XFCE but regular button shortcuts don't work.

My problem is SOLVED by reassigning shortcut keys.

Looks like my media key shortcuts are working as well.

After rebooting, I can reassign my shortcuts and it works as well-- however "Ctrl" now seems to be registering as "Primary" (which I assume is the source of the original problem...).

Re: [SOLVED] xfce4 keyboard shortcuts not working after a full update

i found an easier way smile

log off xfce4 session

log on via tty (terminal)

edit .config/xfce4/xfconf/xfce-perchannel-xml/xfce4-keyboard-shortcuts.xml

replace all "Control&gt" entries with "Primary&gt" entries

save

log on xfce4 session back

the trick is done smile

all shortkeys will start working back wink

Well, this would have been nice to read somewhere, it drove me crazy for quite a few days. Replacing Control by Primary works indeed, I wonder why no-one included a fallback or migration solution.
