Laptop speaker making distrubance noise when volume is kept maximum

My laptop speaker makes noise.

When I keep the volume at maximum we can hear the speaker sound (even without plating any audio)

I have to mute it else it creates lot of noise.

Any help

What sort of sound does it make?

Once I had a problem with my speakers reverbing. Turned out it was due to the microphone being on by default. Turning off the mic fixed the problem.
