I can't get any of the AUR compiz packages to build.

I must be missing a build dependency or something. I've tried to build compiz-core-dev and compiz-core-git and I've tried changing the version number in compiz-core-dev to several versions that I know exist. I even HAVE compiz-0.9.5 installed already, so it did build at some point.

This is the error I get:

-- Configuring done
-- Generating done
-- Build files have been written to: /home/rob/yaourt/yaourt-tmp-rob/aur-compiz-core-dev/src/compiz-0.9.5.0/build
make[2]: *** No rule to make target `generated/core.xml.in', needed by `generated/core_options.h'. Stop.
make[1]: *** [src/CMakeFiles/compiz.dir/all] Error 2
make[1]: *** Waiting for unfinished jobs....

Re: I can't get any of the AUR compiz packages to build.

i see compiz-core-dev is out of date so you can't install it with yaourt.

if you change the version you have to change the sha1sums,

and maybe the depends versions as well.

i did it with mplayer before someone fixed the pkgbuild and it worked

for one of the newer version but not all of them.

try adding:
options=(!makeflags)
