Afternoon everyone,
I'm having a hard time finding the correct 'term' for what I want to do. In other distro's and in Windows, depresing the scroll wheel places the cursor into a continous vertical scroll mode. Moving the mouse up/down allows me to scroll easily while reading.
I've gone through the normal articles for mice, however I'm not seeing what I need to do.
Here's the info from `xev |grep -i button`
Mouse wheel depression:
ButtonPress event, serial 32, synthetic NO, window 0x2400001,
state 0x10, button 2, same_screen YES
ButtonRelease event, serial 32, synthetic NO, window 0x2400001,
state 0x210, button 2, same_screen YES
What do I need to do?
Thanks in advance!

I suppose I should also note that I'd love this to work in Firefox if possible

I know what you mean. This was working fine on my Logitech MX Revolution mouse until yesterday. Some package somewhere must have changed. I'm looking for an answer, too.

Okay, figured it out. You need Revoco from AUR:
https://aur.archlinux.org/packages.php?ID=8436
"sudo revoco click" brings back the click mode.

It seems that works for the 'revolution' series, but not my MX518
$sudo revoco click
revoco: No Logitech MX-Revolution (046d:c51a or 046d:c525) found.

I have a logitech anywhere MX mouse and in Firefox with an add-on the middle-button functions as middle-button-scroll-button.
The add-on is the "Äll-in-one Gestures".
In the first configuration screen there is a middle-button-scroll option.
