Pulseaudio: How to set default output device permanently?

Hey guys,

I'm using an usb audio interface (Roland UA-25ex) as my main output device for sound. Now, everytime pulseaudio is started (i.e. when starting the system or waking it up from suspend), I have to start pavucontrol and manually set the interface as the fallback device. Is there a way to make this the default?

Re: Pulseaudio: How to set default output device permanently?

My /etc/pulse/default.pa ends with

## My --------------

load-module module-echo-cancel source_name=echosource sink_name=echosink channels=1

set-default-source echosource
set-default-sink echosink

And it works.

Re: Pulseaudio: How to set default output device permanently?

Is there any possibility to define the A2DP profile of a bluetooth headset as the default output profile with this method?

Regards

I don't know, but at such situation I would play with pactl command ('man pactl') smile
