I'd thought I had it wrong, so I mixed up the phrase to try to be sure.  Thanks, but I had gotten the pager set up shortly after the screen was posted. big_smile

You should try Hydrogen 0.9.5, a lot of new (and really really hot) features has been added.

…day of sheer boredom.  I'm playing a stupid game while waiting for ffmpeg to finish transcoding a video of me playing said game (no real reason; I'm just experimenting with ffmpeg tongue).

I need a sorted list of all random numbers, so that I can retrieve a suitable one later with a binary search instead of having to iterate through the generation process every time.

Was reading FFmpeg man page, and found the sdl output combined with x11grab input == total awesomeness!

ffmpeg -f x11grab -s cif -i :0.0+600,400 -vcodec rawvideo -pix_fmt yuv420p -window_size cif -f sdl 'SDL output'

And when you move the sdl window to really close to the captured region, it's really amusing...

Re: Whatcha Doin? -- Screenshot Edition

@lolilolicon

WRT ffmpeg, try capping your entire screen @ 60 FPS. big_smile

If I'm using rawvideo, I can almost sorta-kinda do it if I'm not moving tons of stuff around, but my humble lappy just doesn't quite have the muscle to do it consistently…I/O becomes a strain with rawvideo (huge amounts of data are being generated; kind of a no-brainer there), and my lappy's Core i5 doesn't play too nicely with real-time lossless H.264 compression of 1366x768 frames @ 60 FPS. tongue

Capping regions of at least 1024x600 or smaller tends to work nicely, though, at least in H.264 lossless.

Okay, so another pointless post is in the bin for me… hmm
