[SOLVED] Pacman AUR Support

I would like to request AUR support in pacman. By adding some command switches like for example;

pacman -aur <packange_name> (for downloading/making/installing AUR package)
pacman -as <package_name> (for searching package in AUR)

or whatever the switches you guys want to use is fine smile

Of course there is third-party AUR helpers, but it would be nice if pacman had build in feature.

AUR Wiki page wrote:

Note: There is not and will never be an official mechanism for installing build material from UNSUPPORTED. All users should be familiar with the build process.

Re: [SOLVED] Pacman AUR Support

pacman won't even have AUR support because, among other things, AUR is Arch-specific while pacman is meant to work on many distros / OSes.

Re: [SOLVED] Pacman AUR Support

Besides, you could always use an AUR helper to ease your AUR handling.

To know or not to know ...
