I am pretty confusing why the rm's are removed here.

Just a tip for those who may have this version installed -- thus unable to upgrade inetutils -- but don't have the previous in their package cache:

/etc/pacman.conf
- comment out the [testing] repo entry

pac -S net-tools
- will downgrade from "testing" version to "core" version

/etc/pacman.conf
- uncomment [testing] to reactivate the repo
- add: "IgnorePkg=net-tools" to block pacman from trying to upgrade to the "testing" version

pacman -Syu
- everything should go as normal

I doubt anyone is in that situation but my initial attempts to fix, before really looking at the file list of the packages, was to remove both 'net-tools' and 'inetutils' to see if an upgrade would then only need to pull one of the two in.

or just wait for a fix, which landed in -3

Give what you have. To someone, it may be better than you dare to think.
