[SOLVED] ata2: SRST failed, slow boot on docked VAIO

Hi,
I just managed to install Arch on a Sony VAIO VPCZ2. However, I got a small problem during the boot procedure. If the computer is not docked (to its Power Media Dock), the boot is fast, 5 seconds at most. However, if the computer is docked, the boot is quite low, and the message ata2: SRST failed (errno=-16) appears twice on screen. From dmesg, during the "Triggering uevents", I got the following:

[ 6.967692] ata2.00: qc timeout (cmd 0xa1)
[ 6.967696] ata2.00: failed to IDENTIFY (I/O error, err_mask=0x4)
[ 11.979211] ata2: link is slow to respond, please be patient (ready=0)
[ 16.990949] ata2: device not ready (errno=-16), forcing hardreset
[ 22.155973] ata2: link is slow to respond, please be patient (ready=0)
[ 27.007763] ata2: SRST failed (errno=-16)
[ 32.172786] ata2: link is slow to respond, please be patient (ready=0)
[ 37.024579] ata2: SRST failed (errno=-16)
[ 37.215879] ata2.00: ATAPI: Optiarc BD ROM BC-5640H, 1.70, max UDMA/100
[ 37.229210] ata2.00: configured for UDMA/100
[ 37.240504] scsi 1:0:0:0: CD-ROM Optiarc BD ROM BC-5640H 1.70 PQ: 0 ANSI: 5
[ 37.240735] scsi 2:0:0:0: Direct-Access ATA SAMSUNG MZRPC256 CXM0 PQ: 0 ANSI: 5
[ 37.240854] scsi 3:0:0:0: Direct-Access ATA SAMSUNG MZRPC256 CXM0 PQ: 0 ANSI: 5

Also, the dock adds the following lines to lspci:

08:00.0 PCI bridge: Intel Corporation Device 151b (rev 01)
0a:00.0 PCI bridge: Intel Corporation Device 151b (rev 01)

1b:00.0 USB Controller: NEC Corporation uPD720200 USB 3.0 Host Controller (rev 04)

Appart from that, everything works as expected. Hope someone would have a clue.

Best.

EDIT
Apparently it only happens with the BIOS boot device configuration I had. Shall I put Internal Device first on the boot order, or disable external boot device, the message disappears completely. I would call that a workaround, but at least my problem is solved. Hope it would help.
