[SOLVED] graphic card switch

Hello all,

Switching from Radeon to a Geforce this week.  Are there any gotchas to worry about when switching?

I assume I would do the following:

remove catalyst drivers/software

remove the [catalyst] entry in pacman.conf

swap video cards

install nvidia drivers:  https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/NVIDIA

configure

am I missing anything?

Just make sure that nouveau is properly blacklisted and doesn't show up after a reboot.  You can check with:

lsmod | grep nouveau

If you have a xorg.conf file (which you most probably do) you have to update that too.

Just swapped out the cards, and so far, things look good, not issues...yet.
