Same old theme, same old icons. First wallpaper is called "A Place to Rest", I forget where it came from; second is "Tide Pool" by Leslie Laurence. All three shots have xcompmgr running.

xcompmgr adds drop-shadows to windows and helps with transparencies.  it's a little buggy (especially with some nvidia cards!) but if you get it working then it's really worth it.

That's right, X Composite Manager takes advantage of the X11-Xorg composite extension using it, Xorg it's the one who's doing the job, xcompmgr only "manage"

it says sony vaio vgn-u750p on the bottom, i'm not sure how much it was, my dad said he got it at compusa it was the floor model. They don't seem to sell it in the us anymore. It has to be imported from japan, but this is the us model.

Re: July 2005 Arch Screenshots

That's a VAIO? Weird-looking thing... Looks a bit like those old non-self-contained "laptops". :? Except this one has a Pentium M processor...

Anyway...

Iceworld:

screen10xk.th.jpg

screen27sm.th.jpg

Clearlooks-Edge GTK theme, Outcrop Metacity theme. (At some point I'll have to make an Outcrop GTK engine... Outcrop GTK theme is pixmap, and clearly shows the associated problems.) Wallpaper is by Swaroop.

BTW, does this latest version of xcompmgr use direct rendering or something? Because xcompmgr is giving me *no* performance drop at all...

Edit: sorry about the bottom of the shot. Something screwed up there... Probably an xcompmgr problem.

fvwm with auto-generated theme and transparency and composite.  I changed a bit the buttons bar at the right. Still need some tweaking. wink

Any chance you could post a copy of it somewhere? Or email it? Or something? smile

It looks like it would be perfect for my laptop. I tried to find it myself, but no luck.

Edge, like the Gnome icons. The theme is available for download here, at the bottom of the page. There are a lot of icons that it doesn't cover, but it helps Firefox blend in a bit.
