[solved] ADDRCONF(NETDEV_UP): eth0: link is not ready

Solution: had my iPhone plugged in and ipheth was loaded. There seems to be a race-condition which interface will be bound to eth0. However I am certain that this didn't happen in the past. Blacklisted ipheth.

Result: network down. Forcedeth module is loaded but used by 0.

I downgraded net-tools, linux and udev. Still no network. The cable is okay.

Even more strange: sometimes (arbitrary combination of reboot, modprobe -r, ifconfig up/down) it works. And yet even more strange I just discovered that I have an eth1 now?! Switching to eth1 works. Reboot. eth1 has now no link but eth0 has. WTF?!

Help, pls.
