skype crashing kernel

Hey,

since a few weeks my 64 bit Desktop is getting unusable after some time because skype constantly crashes parts of the kernel with these messages:

I am using the most recent stable kernel 2.6.39.1 and multilib/skype.

I've found lot's of comparable messages, but no real solutions. Does anyone have an idea how to solve this?

Thanks in advance,
Johannes

Re: skype crashing kernel

I also have this problem since several month. No changes after update to 3.1 today.

Seems to be a general problem, not arch only. E.g. https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=702056

Does anybody know something about it? May be a some workaround?

Re: skype crashing kernel

I had created a bug report at the kernel bug tracker before kernel.org was hacked and since then I cannot reach the tracker anymore. wink
