[CLOSED] Rift error in patching process

Hello all,

I am running Rift on wine, not great framerate, but I'm working on that.  The issue I have is a strange one since the issue does not pop up on my Linux Mint box at work.

When I run rift with this command:

WINEARCH=win32 WINEPREFIX=/mnt/gamedrive/games/.wine32-rift wine riftpatchlive.exe

After logging in, and after I hit "PLAY", I get the following error:

error communicating with the patching process.  Error #1026 last message 0000006D

I go through the process of hitting the OK button and then hitting PLAY again about 15+ times, sometimes it's less, but mostly I have to do this into the double digits.  very annoying to spend up to 5 minutes trying to get the game to launch.

I copied my Rift directory and put it on my work laptop running Linux Mint, and when I execute it with the same command from above, BAM, I get into the game the first time every time.

does anyone know what could be different in the distros?  I set the game up identically on both machines, even killed the .wine32-rift file and had it recreated.
