wicd intermittantly "No wireless networks found"

Occasionally I lose connection and wicd displays no access points.

$ rfkill list
0: acer-wireless: Wireless LAN
	Soft blocked: no
	Hard blocked: no
1: phy0: Wireless LAN
	Soft blocked: no
	Hard blocked: yes

I haven't tried 'sudo rfkill unblock 1' yet, i have to wait for next fail.

What could cause this?

This happens to me too! Happens every once in a while coming back from sleep. Anyone have a solution?

I have not found any resolution yet.  In fact I have just rebooted due to issue.

Check your logs for related errors and/or other messages next time the connection drops.
