PulseAudio doesn't adjust mixer levels separately

Hi,

On my EEE PC (1201N), it's necessary to adjust the mixer levels separately to get the microphone working (left has to be muted). When using AlsaMixer, this is possible, but it resets the values automatically after a short period of time (so they're on equal levels again). I decided to install PulseAudio then. However, in pavucontrol, when I uncheck the box to lock the channels together, I can move the sliders separately, but internally they're moved together (and are on equal levels again)...so the microphone won't record no sound

Has anyone got an idea how to solve this?
